Blaupunkt CD / Tuner as fitted to the Fiat Grande Punto

This stereo is specifically coded to the engine immobiliser system of the vehicle it came out of using the very sophisticated CAN-BUS system technology. When it is first powered up, it will communicate with the engine immobiliser, and a message of "WAIT" will appear whilst this process is in operation. If communication has been successfull, it may prompt for a code to be entered. However, if plugged into another vehicle other than the original one, it may not recognise the engine immobiliser and will not allow a code to be entered. Instead it will lock up and display an error message of "RADIO BLOCKED". This does mean though, that this model cannot be simply transferred from one vehicle to another without some serious reprogramming.

Fiat dealers will tell you that this stereo cannot be reprogrammed to go into another vehicle, but then thats what they said about other models, before we managed to disable and turn off the CAN-BUS system !! If you send us this unit we will turn off the CAN-BUS function and reprogram the code circuit allowing it to be used in any Fiat Punto, irrespective of whether the car has CAN-BUS technology or not.

To remove the Radio, simply insert the removal tools into the four holes at either side of the fascia, push in until a click is felt, and then withdraw the radio. The leads can then be unplugged.

Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" Enter Code Number "
Enter CODE in the order it is read - eg:
For Example, To Enter Code 1234
Press Preset 1 then 2 then 3 then 4
The Code will Enter Itself Automatically
