STOP !
We Can Decode This Radio Via E-Mail !
The Security Code number on this model is determined via a series of Diodes on the top of the
main circuit board, and rather than send us the unit and incur extra courier charges, if you inform us of
the sequence of Diodes, we can calculate the Security Code number for you. If for any reason we get
the code number wrong, then we will require the unit back here at our workshop to be reset and recoded,
which will incur an additional charge on top of what has already been spent.
But so far, this method has proved 99% successfull, if you follow our very simple steps below.
You will require a philips screwdriver for this as a small amount of disassembly is required, but before you start
to panic, if you have managed to get the radio out of the vehicle, then the hard work has already been
done!! Only the top cover plate and Cassette Deck need to be removed.
First remove the three small philips screws that hold on the top cover, and gently prise off the cover exposing the deck :

First pull off the FF/EJECT button from the front. To do this get your fingers around the button and pull, it will be tight!
Next, gently unplug the two white connectors at the rear of the cassette deck. Take care not to pull the wires too hard or they will break.
There are two green bulbs on some long yellow wires at the front of the deck. The green holders can be slid out of place and gently
unwrap the yellow wires from the deck mechanism so that they are hanging free. In some cases these may be held in place by a small tab
that can be gently bent out of place taking care not to distort the mechnism.
Remove the four screws holding the cassette deck in place. The next bit of removing the cassette deck is the tricky bit, but just take
your time and don`t force anything. Gently lift the rear of the deck, and slide the whole mechanism backwards. The front of the mechanism
is held in place by a the FF/EJECT levers that will free itself as the mechanism is slid backwards :
With the cassette deck removed, the location of the Diodes can now be seen. Don`t worry if you dont know what a Diode is, when you look inside, there is a very obvious cluster of components, and you will see that some may be missing. The location of the Diodes and missing ones are what we need to calculate the code number.
The Diode cluster of 12 will look something like this, but some of the Diodes will be missing, and its the missing ones that give us
our code number.
If you assume a missing Diode to be a 'Zero 0' and a Diode to be a 'One 1', then with the fascia away from you, and reading the links from
top to bottom, you will end up with a twelve digit code made up of 0`s and 1`s. For instance this series of links would give a code
of 110111100101
By now you should be able to work out your own twelve digit number from your own series of Diodes. Write this
number down carefully, as we will need this to supply you with a Security Code.
If you go back to the main Decoding page for this radio, you can now order a decode by pressing the
'Add to Cart' button on the appropriate page. Follow the checkout procedure as normal, and when you have paid
for the Decode, there will be an order number shown at the top left of your final page. Now send us an E-mail
quoting the order number, your radio model number and your twelve digit number you have just read, and we will
then calculate your four digit Security Code number and E-Mail it back to you.
Once you have reassembled your radio, and put it back into the vehicle, you are ready to reset the penalty
timer, and its my guess that when you switch you stereo on, you will see EEE on the screen and no
matter what you press, they still keep showing! This stereo is codelocked!! You will have to leave the unit powered on for
at least two and a half hours for the penalty timer to expire, and code entry should then be possible. If it still doesn`t clear,
send me an E-Mail!
To enter your code number follow this link and the procedure will be shown on the main decoding page for this stereo.
