Tom planned to do a lot of driving in his new Renault Grand Espace, and asked us to install a VDO Dayton
navigation system to help him on his way. In order for Tom to be allowed to drive the distances that he
enjoyed so much, he had to find a way of keeping his children and passengers quiet. Not sure whether to
opt for a games console or a DVD player, we agreed on a Playstation PS/2, as gameplay and DVD are both
possible on this model.

Headrest
As the Headrests are fairly substantial on the Renault,
we were able to take full advantage of the "Mobile TV"
range of 5.6" colour monitors, that are an absolute
dream to install. |

Sony PS/2
In order to maximise the load space, the Sony PS/2
was located in the rear quarter, whilst access is still
fairly easy through the original panel. | ![]() |

Be Carefull
The installation difficulties are not as you might think,
with the headrests, but with the supplementry restraints
on the seats, in the form of Airbags and seat belt
tensioners. |

And for the Driver
The VDO Dayton MS5000 Monitor is mounted on a
quick release clip for security.
