10th March 2010       Volkswagen E-Codes
We have been researching into supplying VW Codes from their serial number, and we have now started to add a few models to our Online E-Code service.

Please do not ring us asking if we can supply any other VW model codes from serial number if it is clearly stated on the website that the radio has to be sent to us, as this is strictly limited to the model numbers shown.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties, or find any broken links, please contact us asap so that we can identify and resolve them without any further delay

8th March 2010       Getting There
Thank you for all the kind comments and well wishes that have been sent in. Regular readers will have known about my illness over Christmas, and as a result of some pretty major surgery last week, my gallbladder and I have finally parted company. Hopefully that will be an end to it, and I can get back to some decoding. I`m still in the fairly early stages of recovery, so I`m sure you can appreciate that the next few days will be a slightly slower service for obvious reasons. The working day is revolving around painkillers, not the clock !!

However, I have not been slack, and you will notice that not one, but two new manufacturers have now appeared on the decoding list, as we have started to tackle the Aisin Navigation systems as fitted to Audi, and the LG stereos as fitted to Volkswagen.

15th February 2010       Spring Break Shutdown
Just a quick heads up - We will be closed for two weeks from 21st Feb until the 7th March for a much needed spring break. The automated decode site will remain running, but we will not be providing any workshop service or telephone support during this time.

1st February 2010       E-Code Service
We are experiencing some technical problems with a small number of our E-Code services where an error page appears instead of allowing you to submit radio information. We think we have found most of them, but there may still be a few obscure ones that have slipped under the radar. If you are experiencing any technical difficulties, or find any broken links, please contact us asap so that we can identify and resolve them without any further delay.

25th January 2010       Vauxhall Omega CID
Due to numerous requests, we are now able to reset and decode the Colour Information Display panel as fitted to the Vauxhall Omega and return it back to Delivery Mode so that it can be fitted into another vehicle - full details on the website.

18th January 2010       Telephone Support now Reinstated
Our phone lines are back up and running again, but E-Mail remains the fastest way to get in touch with us as the phone lines are often jammed with calls.

14th January 2010       Temporary Withdrawl of Telephone Support
Due to the continuing Staff illness here at DND Services, we have temporarily withdrawn telephone support whilst our backlog of work is cleared, and all mobile and Land line phones have been switched off for the next few days as most of us are currently working from home.

At the moment, we can only be contacted by E-Mail although there will unfortunately be some delays in response times due to the volume of mails we are currently receiving.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this will cause and thank you for your kind patience.

11th January 2010       Adverse Weather - Update
Whilst there has been an improvement in some areas, especially down here in Paignton, we are aware that many residential and rural roads where our couriers are trying to deliver remain very icy and difficult to negotiate in their delivery vans and that there will still be delays to many deliveries across the areas worst affected by the severe weather. We will continue to work extremely hard to minimise the widespread disruption caused by the extended period of severe weather and get parcels delivered as soon as it is practical in those worst affected areas.

We have been made aware by Parcelforce that the worst hit areas at the moment are as follows:

All postcodes commencing with BN, CT, GU, IG, LU, ME, MK, OX, PO, RH, RM, SO and the following individual postcodes; B49-50, 60, 80 & 94-95, DH6-9, DY9 & 13-14, E4, 6-7, 10-13 & 15-18, HP4-5, HP9-23 & 27, NE18-19, 43-45, 47-48, 65, & 67-70, NN12-13, SP1-4 & 9-11, RG8, 12, 14, 17-29, 40-42 & 45, TN23-30

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this will cause and thank you for your patience and understanding during this very challenging period.

10th January 2010       SKYPE - Now Disconnected
We are no longer accepting calls via SKYPE as we are currently finding that the quality of the calls are now so poor thet we are struggling to understand anything that is being said to us. We are used to dealing with phone calls from customers around the world, but SKYPE is making everybody from the UK now sound like they are sitting in one of those "Offshore Call Centres" - so we have now given up with it.

I had a call the other day regarding where best to site a DVD player in the rear of a BMW X5, so as promised, I have just uploaded some pictures from our archives regarding some installation ideas from that vehicle, and they can be found on our DND SERVICES link on the blue bar above.

7th January 2010       Adverse Weather - Update
Much of the snow appears to have thawed here, although still white in places. However, although our yard looks like its defrosting in the sun, its actually sheet black ice. Very few couriers have managed to battle their way here today, so I guess that delays are still inevitable.

6th January 2010       Adverse Weather
The snow has finally hit Paignton, not too bad yet although still falling fast this lunchtime - but we are aware that many of our courier and delivery drivers are now operating some very restricted services due to the icy conditions and road closures. Although we are currently operating as normal ourselves, there may obviously be some delays due to the restriced delivery services.

1st January 2010       Happy New Year
We would like to wish everybody a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Apologies for the premature shutdown the week before Christmas, but I was rushed back into hospital on the 19th and underwent emergency surgery on Christmas Eve. Not exactly the sort of festivities I had planned !!

A special Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year goes out to all of the staff on Cromie Ward, Torbay Hospital.

16th December 2009       Back in the Land of the Living
Thank you to all of you who sent me Get Well messages over the last few days, although not firing on all cylinders yet, (some say I never was), the decode service is back up and running albeit at a slightly reduced speed at the moment.

A big thank you goes out to all of the staff at Torbay Hospital, especially the A&E department and Forest Ward - and whoever thought to install Free Internet access at the bedside was an absolute genius. But as far as the catering staff go, sorry guys, Cold "jellied" porridge, black toast and marmalade was my inspiration to get out of there as soon as I was able.

2nd December 2009       More from the Archives
I had no idea how popular some of our old project archives were, but again, by request is the BMW Cabriolet that proved how an 8" sub could give a very serious amount of Bass with the right enclosure. Details can be found on our DND SERVICES page.

Any more requests?

1st December 2009       Trade Courier Collections
Just a reminder that our Courier Collection service for the Trade guys amongst you is still being offered, where any incoming parcels can be collected by our own couriers at a flat rate of £10 per parcel, irrespective of how many radios you are sending us or the weight and size of the parcel. This is offering a much reduced cost for those who do not have your own couriers and have to rely on Royal Mail instead.

We have had a few enquiries recently asking if we were still offering this service. The answer is a most definate YES! So popular has this service been, that we are planning to continue to offer this for the forseeable future. To take advantage of this service, all you need to do is to package the radios in a box, and give us a ring for collection.
