The Security Code number on these models is determined by an Algorythm (Calculation) of the
serial number that is etched into the side of the stereo. Please note that this calculation will only
work if the Code Number has not been reprogrammed electronically by a previous decoding engineer. Have a
look on the outside of the unit to see if there are any decoding labels on it, if so, this method may not
be successful, and the unit will have to be returned to us for decoding which will incur an additional
charge on top of what has already been spent. But so far, this method has proved 99% successfull!
First of all we need the full Model Number of the unit. This can be generally be found on a label on the
side, rear or top of the stereo and will resemble something along the lines of
22DC449/64L .
The serial number is etched into the side of the unit. In most cases the number is 14 digits long, and care
must be taken to read this as the numbers are not always very clear. As the numbers are etched, it is often
very difficult to distinguish between characters and numbers, for example the numbers
5 and
0 are often mistaken for
letters
S and
D, so please be carefull.
If you supply us incorrect numbers, then the code we supply will
be wrong.

and we will then calculate your four digit
Security Code number and E-Mail it back to you.
