As originally fitted to :

This radio is designed to fit Vauxhall vehicles that utilise a seperate display on the dashboard. It cannot be used in other vehicles that do not have this seperate display fitted.

Please note that code entry is only possible with the ignition switched on, and in the order shown. If the display continually shows "SAFE" and a number less than "10" then the unit may be codelocked and will need to be left switched on up for up to two hours to reset before another code entry attempt is possible. If it does not reset after this time, or the display shows "SAFE" with no number to the left, then you are not following the correct code entry procedure, and your ignition has not been switched on. If all of your code entry attempts have been used up, the unit will need to be sent to us to be decoded and reset.

If you have lost your radio code, we can decode and reset this radio, but you will need to send the unit to our workshop for this work to be carried out. Approx turnaround time is 48 hours from receipt to dispatch.

Removal of the radio is fairly straightforward. You may need to first remove the four small Allen Key grub screws in the front panel to expose the holes used for the removal tools. The removal tools are inserted into the four round holes at the sides of the fascia until a click is felt. The radio can then be withdrawn although the cage and leads will probably remain fixed to the car.

Display Programming

There are two versions of Vauxhall vehicle displays, one with 8 Digits and one with 10 Digits. If you connect this stereo to the wrong display, code entry is possible, but the display will either freeze or dissappear once the code has been entered. To reprogram, Turn off the Radio, Press and Hold Presets "3" & "5" at the same time, whilst switching the radio back on, and this will toggle between the two display modes.

Tuner Programming

The Tuner mode can also be changed for different frequency steps. To reprogram, Turn off the Radio, Press and Hold Presets "2" & "4" at the same time, whilst switching the radio back on, and this will toggle between "STEP 9" (UK Mode) and "STEP 10" (US Mode)

Code Entry as Follows:

Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Turn Off Stereo
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "
Press preset " 1 " repeatedly for 1st Digit
Press preset " 2 " repeatedly for 2nd Digit
Press preset " 3 " repeatedly for 3rd Digit
Press preset " 4 " repeatedly for 4th Digit
If the correct code number is now shown
Press & Hold Preset " AS " Until the Unit Beeps
